The main objective of the College is to offer programmes to prepare high quality graduates equipped with adequate theoretical knowledge and adequate practical skills, in the various disciplines of Engineering, Technology and Sciences with education. Such graduates should be able to solve engineering problems at local and national levels and make a contribution at the international levels. They should be able to prepare the scientific background of the coming generation in order for them to take up engineering and technology as a profession.

The vision and mission of the College, as the founding college, are the same as those of the University.

Capacity building of children of Africa to meet the emerging challenges happening in the world, by imparting quality employable education with discipline which leads to self - enlightenment and development of the nation.

At the end of each programme the trainee, in the appropriate field of specialisation, should be able to:

• Apply the knowledge of Science and Maths to solve basic engineering problems.
• Apply engineering and IT concepts, principles and procedures to solve basic engineering problems.
• Use practical engineering tools to solve basic engineering problems.
• Communicate orally and in writing in different contexts.
• Deliver and demonstrate effectively concepts in various fields of Science and Maths in the education of the future generation.
